Hydrogen plants

Hydrogen is the future

Hydrogen will play a crucial part in decarbonising the UK. Fuel cells emit only water as a byproduct, making them a clean power source for a variety of automotive and stationary applications. Fuelling times will be quick for commercial vehicles, with long operational range and proven durability. The fuel cells supporting critical infrastructure provide a reliable, zero-emission backup in emergencies.

While the benefits are clear, there has been a challenge for businesses that are transitioning to hydrogen: finding a reliable, affordable hydrogen source.

One solution is a network of Hydrogen hubs that have the capacity to deliver Hydrogen to the local businesses and industries either as fuel for their fleet, plant machinery or for static applications.

Onsite Hydrogen Generation

A steam reforming system for hydrogen production can produce 1000kg of hydrogen per day by tapping into a regular gas pipeline. To make this more environmentally friendly you can produce hydrogen from biomethane directly from AD plants if located nearby, or by signing up to a green energy provider who will displace the equivalent volume of natural gas with biomethane by substituting it into the grid from their supply network.
